About the Business
Dawn trained as a florist at Reaseheath College, Nantwich before working and gaining experience at The Black Rose in Knutsford and Hale. Dawn started her own business in 2004 called Distinctive Designs with her mum Mary. One of the barns at the family farm was converted into a flower and gift shop specialising in weddings and balloons. Supporting other local businesses, Jersey ice creams from Snugburys and Mrs Darlingtons Jams are also sold in the shop.
By now the business was growing and an opportunity to purchase Covent Garden Florist on Nantwich Road, Crewe came towards the end of 2008. 3 years later, January 2012, saw Covent Garden move location to 82 Nantwich Road, Crewe. Since then the two shops have gone from strength to strength. The most important thing is good quality flowers. Being open 7 days a week means that all occasions can be catered for, including weddings and christenings.
