About the Business

Born in Dumfries and living in Ayrshire until the age of 16 I then moved with my parents back to the family croft in Breakish on the Isle of Skye. Now residing in Beauly near Inverness where the business is also based enables me to be pretty central to the Highlands being able to cover most of Scotland for Wedding Photography, whilst still living in one of the most stunning places this planet has to offer. Having had various jobs ranging from working in the old Main St Co-op in Kyle of Lochalsh when I left school to manufacturing carbon fiber in one of the largest producers in the UK at the time.

This began the 35mm SLR era with me learning how to compose a landscape, metering, aperture and shutter speeds, progressing through the plethora of advice, forums, groups and videos available online and in printed material. The film camera was soon destined for retirement on the shelf when I purchased my first digital camera, a Fuji S602 Pro (although why it was a PRO I will never know).
