Joel Skingle Photography

Well I guess this is the part where I tell you all about me and how all this started! OK so here goes. After developing photography skills as part of my design roles I realised that this is where my real passion lied. Working in creative and design-led environments has undoubtedly made me a better photographer, providing me with advanced colouring, retouching and Photoshop skills and well as story telling and composition. There is much more to being a great wedding photographer than simply knowing how to use a camera competently.

My degree in Visual Communications and creative experience have led to my success and unique style, and my many meetings with clients discussing design briefs have given me a great confidence with people. A must for dealing with guests at your wedding. Without these influences I wouldn't be where I am today. Weddings are something a photographer has to have an emotional connection with to be able to capture successfully. Being there with a camera is not enough.
